I just got off the phone with my Aunt Mary, who is dying. Not all that long ago she was diagnosed with cancer, brain cancer. After radiation, chemotherapy, cataract surgery, blindness and now barely able to walk, it makes my worst day seem miles ahead of what she is going through. But she still smiles over the phone.
What do you say to someone that is telling people she is dying? Have a nice day just doesn’t seem to cut it. Worse yet I’m 4,000 miles away from her and not close enough to give her a hug. But of course if there was a hug involved I’d have to say I’d selfishly get a lot out of it.
All the bills and debts in the world, no matter how much pain and stress we live through; just pale in comparison to losing forever, someone you love.

1Those can certainly be sad times. My father-in-law just passed away. He was chipper to the end and we just tried to spend as much quality time with him as possible. That last year was a blessing indeed.

2Now is the time for all the memories to come back and to relive them again with them, so they know just how special they have made you feel. Dont let the end get in the way of the now. When the end seems so close that you feel it is not to late to give them the love you still feel for them and to be the last good memorie that they have is the kindest reward of thier life that you can give to them…Dont feel sad for them leaveing you just be glad theat they are getting your palce ready so when you get there it will be ready for you…
