I am constantly amazed by all the new things I find online each day. Today’s incredible find is Schmap.

The only reason Schmap came into view was that they sent me an email and asked me for my permission to use some of my recent Rome images on Flickr in their upcoming travel guide to Rome. Obviously they have good taste.
But once I went and looked at their site I was pleasantly surprised by how cool it was. The online interactive guide makes it very easy to see what the city is like and by using images from Flickr the Schmap guide gives it to you like it is with photos by “us”.
I of course gave them permission to use my Rome photos in the guide.

The Schmap site also offers some mega guides as well. With my upcoming trip back home to the United States and cross country drive, I am for sure going to download the U.S. guide onto the MacBook Pro and use it as we go.
The downloaded guides give you some cool information. A quick look at the Austin, Texas guide found a Segway tour of downtown. Sounds cool. Now I’m looking more forward to getting to see Austin.
