So in the next couple of months I’ve got to get serious about looking for my new motorcycle and I’m not sure what to get this time so I need your help. What road bike make and model do you suggest for riding comfort? I’m less concerned about looking cool than I am about a comfortable ride.

I do know that I’m not interested in a racing bike or crotch rocket. I’d prefer either a touring bike or a sportster. I’m not at all fussy about the manufacturer. As I said before my last bike was a BMW K1200 LT but it was just too big. But trust me, it was an awesome bike to ride across America on. Story and photos here.

I’m also going to buy a used bike. I’d like to spend less that £4,000 and I don’t need new bike since I’d like to ride only on the best days and based on the weather here in England, that’s not a whole lot of days. I’m not such an extreme rider that I’ll be out riding in the heavy rain.

I am told that DK Motorcycles, which isn’t far from me, has the largest collection of used bikes around. Here is the link to the used motorcycle section.

The good news is that I can ride on my U.S. motorcycle license here and that my insurance is going to cost about £50 a year.

“Which bike do you think is the most comfortable?”

So give me your suggestions on bikes that DK carries that you think I should look at? I’d really appreciate your help with this.
