Maybe I’m more aware of it now for some reason but I keep hearing about forex trading. Here is what I understand about forex, it’s currency trading. And that is the extent of my knowledge about it. I did read some articles about forex trading but all those did was scare me.
I can see the daily swings in currency prices and I suppose if you had some sort of currency trading system that worked that you could make money doing it, but not me. The only reason I look at currency exchange rates is to see how low the dollar can go against the euro or pound.
But then again, I guess currency is a commodity like pigs, summer wheat, or sugar. It’s just a thing that has its prices adjusted by whim, fancy, war and weather.
I’d always prefer to get rich slow rather than get rich quick, but that’s the subject of another post I’ll go and write, right now. I don’t want to give the post away but I’ll opt for skill over luck any day of the week.
The most I’ve ever done with currency trading is swapping GBP for USD as I travel. In fact I don’t even do that anymore. I just take local currency out of the ATM wherever I am or use my credit card, not my debit card. (Always remember Debit Cards Suck.)
Call me juvenile, “You’re juvenile”, but every time I read about forex it just sounds dirty, like foreskin. It makes me chuckle. “You’re juvenile”, I know, I know, I know. Still…
Forex must stand for foreign exchange and a lot of people have made a lot of cash trading currencies and a lot have lost a lot of money doing it. That right there means it’s not for me.
I’m an investor, not a day trader. I absolutely hate to gamble. Last time I was in Las Vegas for a meeting there was this huge bragging billboard as I entered town. It said “Our Slots have the Largest Payouts in Vegas 98%”. To me that read “Yo Loser, You’re Guaranteed to Come Home With Less”.
I guess forex trading or currency trading is a lot like day trading or slots. If you enjoy doing it and you’ve got the extra cash to lose doing it, what’s the harm? But seriously, if you just want to through good money away feeding an adrenaline addiction, there are plenty of people in this world that will take that cash as a donation from you and then scare you to get the old juices going.
If anyone has any experience in foreskin trading, please post your comments below. I’d really like to hear how it worked out for you.
