I’ve become alarmed by the number of searches on this site by people saying “I want to kill myself”. I fully realize that money troubles are both painful and intensely intimate.

In my years as a debt expert and in helping people to find good solutions for difficult money troubles, I’ve certainly run into my share of individuals that felt their situation was so desperate, dark and shameful that eliminating debt by death seemed like a good way to go.

And while I can personally have conversations with people about the realities of what money troubles really mean and that bills don’t kill people, I wanted to try to do just a bit more to help those considering today as their last day.

There isn’t much to look at but I just launched IWantToKillMyself.org as an attempt to provide some help and resources out there for someone that might stumble across the site in a moment of need.

If you can think of anything that I need to add to that site, let me know and together we can make it a safe haven on the information superhighway for a desperate soul to pull over for a moment and just get a glimpse of hope and care.

If you have a personal story about depression and suicide that you’d like to share, please do. It will remain anonymous but it will be a help to someone you will never know.
